Flying
Here I sit firmly in a chair,
Suspended in twenty-thousand feet off air.
So fast we go,
All is blurry and small below.
I’m sitting still, yet away I’ve fled.
The roar of engines reverberating in my head.
Tearing through the clouds,
Sharing silence with the crowd.
To feel gravity and yet defy it.
How masterful, how magical it is,
Traveling so far off the ground.
