POEM STARTER
Awakening
Write a poem about an awakening - it could be literal or metaphorical.
Covenantal Ignorance
Our casual consumption of matter fosters the ambitious apathy of what matters. Freely, we are reduced by fear. Six feet under, seeking fig leaves and bushes.
Redefining good to feeling and evil to others, “Till death do us part”. Take cover!
Be clothed by Invitation, let the garments encourage. Fall curiously, fail decisively.
I am to blame, lest they reach out their hand…
Yet in these times “Forgive them, for they know not what they do”.
