The Standoff
I see, I see, her majesty, out on her winter stroll,
A sea, a sea, as heavenly, her hair as black as coal
I seathe I seathe, because to me from her a debt is owed
But once my heart grew close to hers and truths were shared and told
She screams she screams in angered fright as we stand juxtaposed
“Traitor! “ Snake!” She yells at me but a sword she cannot hold
“Your heart was pure” she yells again but this phrase leaves me cold
But She! The Queen! Who banished me from the life of jewels and gold
Thinks I am pure, her maddened lover, revenga taken hold.
To me, to me, if I was pure my love wouldn’t be sold
So now she lay icy, icy, right outside her abode.
