Grains Of Sand

Bricks of love are laid,

Promises, so sweetly made.

The foundation cracks,

Loyalty begins to fade.

Hearts break, red gives way to black.

Trust once unbroken,

Now lies scattered all around.

Truths left unspoken,

Hatred spewed in words unbound,

Love lost, can never be found.

Walls once stood so tall,

Now a quiet, crumbling fall.

Trust dies as tears fall,

Hollow screams in empty halls,

Shadows dance, where love once called.

Words, like coins, were spent,

In the end, just unpaid debts.

Castles built on sand,

Washed away by truth's demand,

Everything crushed, by your hands.
