Time For Dinner!
Today’s the big day in which it is my father’s birthday. We’re going to set the table for a celebratory dinner of another year of life.
We set the table in a very specific manner. My older sister, Alana, is in charge of arranging the table cloth. The cloth has to be draped three inches (7.63 cm) over each side of the rectangular. My father likes things to be perfectly symmetrical on his birthday.
My younger brother, Tyler, is responsible for organizing the silverware. He makes sure the plates, forks, knives and napkins are all in the same place. My dad likes the napkins done a very specific way, if it’s done a different way, he won’t eat.
My mother cooks the food, dad’s favorite; Crown Roast of Pork with Mushroom Dressing. It’s always prepared an hour before so that it’s the best quality for when everyone eats it. The beverage is a simple yet tasty Strawberry Lemonade, blending the sourness of lemons with the juiciness of strawberries to create a sweet blend.
We all love each other, so much that everything happens so seamlessly in the span of 35 minutes.
