POEM STARTER
Write a winter Pantoum.
A pantoum is a poem where each stanza is 4 lines, and the second and fourth line of each stanza are repeated as the first and third lines of the next. As this creates a lot of repetition, try to pick a winter theme that would benefit from emphasis of certain lines.
The Warmth Of You
If I’m spending winter with you (A)
I need a blanket and hot tea (B)
To see the wonderful icy view (C)
With such childlike glee (D)
I need a blanket and hot tea (B)
Bundling up with too much to hold (E)
With such childlike glee (D)
I wouldn’t mind the cold (F)
Bundling up with too much to hold (E)
To see the wonderful icy view (C)
I wouldn’t mind the cold (F)
If I’m spending winter with you (A)
