POEM STARTER

Submitted by Mae Bailey

“We live in a land where the footprints of ghosts linger.”

Use this line to start or end a poem. It can be any genre as long as you feel it fits the sentence well.

Never Actually Gone

I can never escape the gaze of our past

Your presence lingers so close yet so far

I go no where truly alone

Do nothing truly alone

I see you in everything

I see you in the color yellow

I see you everytime i hear the songs you used to sing

I see you more now than i did before

We live in a land where the footprints of ghosts linger
