Pinocchio

Once upon a time, in a land far away,

A man made a puppet with which he could play.

He made it from wood and he carved it with love,

He ended with a wish to the Lord up above.

Please turn my boy living,

He requested out loud.

My soul I am giving,

For he just was so proud.

Then he paused for a sign, a sound or a word.

He paused for a signal that he had been heard.

Then the boy on his table opened up his blue eyes,

And the man that had made him was full of surprise.

The puppet then spoke, with its wood lips still level,

“Your request has been granted, yours truly - The Devil”

He was unaware that he had just made a deal.

Gepetto then knew, it was all becoming real.
