Try to make each entry build from the last to add to the storyline. If you switch perspective, make it clear that it's someone else's journal.

I just got back from my date with Greg...Dear diary, you know that feeling when your with somebody for so long that everyday feels like a new adventure. Well anyways, that’s what I feel every time I go on a date with him. I hope we can talk about Greg some more tomorrow diary. Until then, goodnight.
