Hear Is What It’s Like
And after nine months and 36 hours, there was the most beautiful sound I’d ever heard, but let me try to paint the picture.
Imagine a small, yet persistent breeze at your ears bringing a gentle rain down the twisting muscles of your neck. The cool sensation brightening your senses and alerting you to take action. Have you ever pressed your fingertips ever so lightly to the surface of rippling water? It didn’t carry the deep vibration that settles in your hips, but the bright rattle of a chandelier overhead. A wail with the clarity of rainbow quartz and the warmth of homemade pie, my son came into this world singing a beautiful song.
