Alley
There are so many bricks
And the charming alleys are draped
With silks and signs
Colors paint the sidewalk
A small dog is trotting the path
Snow tops it’s snubbed nose like a cherry on a sundae.
There’s the cupcake stand,
A cart with books and honey sits perched by the swings,
How perfect does that sound.
And look at the snowflakes
I can almost see them.
They whir with electric buzz,
Lighting up the streets.
There’s the tree being decorated,
With shiny red toys and green paper.
It truly is Christmas.
It truly is Summer.
So this is a mix of an alley where a farmers market takes place and where they set up Christmas decorations in the winter in my town. It’s a mix of both because it’s like looking at it and remembering.
