POEM STARTER
Write a series of three haikus about different aspects of something you love.
Haikus have the syllabic form of 5, 7, 5 syllables per line. Consider how you could use multiple Haiku to create a three-dimensional portrait of your chosen thing.
The Atlantic
1. Waves coax the sand into a caress,
Of salted breath and mythos,
Whispers of who you once were
2. Moonlit waves expose,
Secrets hidden in the depths,
Time is. A lie
It will fall through your fingers
3. Lonesome drift,
Empty shell side stepping
Along, searching
For a distant world.
