Golden Sunrise Come Upon Us
All I had wanted moving to this wretched little town in Texas, was (human) friends, popularity, and to graduate middle school with flying colors. Of course, I got one of those things. Just like every day, I went to go into the woods to get away from mom’s old and smelly cottage. Most of the time I know exactly where I’m going, but today I was very angry over a particular thing. Or was it a person? Perhaps a place? What happened afterwards was so amazing I barely remembered anything else. I saw a boy. Not like that! It was a boy I saw from school earlier. He has zero friends from what I can tell. So, I followed him. It might have seemed wrong, but there was something wrong with him. His ears were stretching out, his fingers became as wide as sausages, and his feet grew so large, they broke through his shoes. But the most concerning part was… he didn’t care whatsoever! What a big fat idiot to not notice your stinking feet growing out of your shoes! At one point I stepped on something and it snapped. He turned around and I saw his blood red eyes and his fangs pointing out of his mouth. I kept running because of the incline on the hill we were on, and I smacked into his chest witch was hard as rock. I fell to the ground and the golden shine of morning fell over the mountaintops as I closed my eyes into a peaceful abyss of inky black. When I awoke the boy was still in his troll form and was very scary, but he shook and he went into boy form. What? I would have said something if not for the way he looked at me with the look on his face, pleading me not to. But why? I turned to leave, but to my surprise, he grabbed me and his hand was still big and clawed. I didn’t move after that. He was very threatening. And then I picked myself up and ran. But I stopped. I turned back to him. I sat down next to him. Who needed words when there was a beautiful sunrise in front of us? So we sat. And we sat. And we let the golden sunrise come upon us as if it were a blanket.
