It wasn’t often that Addie had the apartment to herself. Between her two roommates, Matt and Alex, and all of their friends, they were never alone.

But here she was. Alone. On Halloween.

Addie Dalton was nineteen years old. She lived with her friends Matt, who was twenty, and Alex, who was eighteen.

Matt and Alex were invited to a Halloween party, and after fighting to get Addie in and failing, she convinced them to go without her.

What was that?

Huh?

Knock, knock, knock!

Addie hesitantly opened the door to see a human sized green creature with large blue eyes and a fully shaved head. He stood on two feet like a human, and was holding a giant black opened umbrella with two hands.

“Hello, Adelaide.” He said in a raspy voice.

“Who- who are you?” Addie asked.

“Oh. I am sorry. My name’s Gregorio. Greg for short. I’m scared and lonely on Halloween and looking for a friend. I was wondering if that could be you?” He questioned in a much kinder tone.

“Oh.” Adelaide said.

And that’s how a new friendship began.
