Minor Inconvenience
A minor inconvenience, oh how it can irk
A small annoyance, but still it can work
To disrupt our day, to throw us off track
To make us feel like we're under attack
Perhaps it's a traffic jam on the way to work
Or a long line at the store, where we're left to lurk
Maybe it's a lost key, or a dead phone battery
Or a spilled drink that makes us feel quite tattery
It's not a major problem, we know that's true
But still it can make us feel quite blue
It's the little things that can get under our skin
And make us wish we could just give in
But we soldier on, we push through the pain
We know that this too shall pass, it's not in vain
For even the smallest inconvenience can teach
Us to be patient, to persevere, to reach
For the bigger things that may come our way
And to appreciate the good in every day
So let us not be too quick to complain
About the minor inconveniences that cause us strain.
