The Scars on Our Hearts

Write a poem which could have this as the title.

The Scars on Our Hearts

A silent trace, a hidden mark.

Etched in flesh, engraved in heart.

Some are born from words like knives.

Sharpened tongues that shaped our lives.

Scars are like maps, not chains or graves.

They mark the path, the fires we braved.

Not wounds to mourn, nor wounds to hide.

But proof we lived, and did not die.
