No More Tomorrows

My husband John is a good man and a good provider. Loves me and our 2 children.

He came home from work at 5 pm as usual.Dinner was almost ready. He’s playing with the kids in the living room, while listening to the baseball game. Dinner is ready, I called out. John calls for the children to sit down. It’s time to eat, John replied.

All of a sudden, I heard a loud crashing noise. It was coming from the other room. John had fallen to the floor. He was clutching his chest. John! John! Are you ok? He wasn’t responsive. I immediately called 911. The ambulance. came quickly, although it felt like hours. They quickly took him into the ambulance. He had an oxygen mask on,but still unresponsive Ambulance sped to hospital. Left the kids with the neighbor.I was driving like a madman ,to the hospital. When I arrived, I was told to sit in the waiting room. It felt like an eternity. I see the doctor approaching . He was wearing white scrubs. He had a solum look on his face.My heart was rapidly beating through my chest. Tears coming down my face like rain. Something was wrong. I just knew it. The doctor approached .I heard those words of horror. I never realized, one word could have such an impact .John was GONE . He sustained a massive heart attack. I’m sorry ,the doctor said. By the time he reached the hospital, he was already deceased. Just like that, John was gone. My mind was in denial. Although ,my heart knew it was true. No more will my love be coming through the door after work.Never again, will he be playing with his children. I am lost. I am heartbroken. My mind was in a tailspin of confusion. My poor lovable affectionate husband , dead at 39 years old . Cheated out of life. Forever. Oh, how we loved each other..Now, gone forever.Tomorrow would have been our 10th anniversary. Here today, gone in an instant. It happened so fast. Then in a flash, it suddenly was over.
