The police officer bent down. He said “Buddy what happened yesterday.” Jay sat silent, staring at his teddy bear. The officer got impatient he said “Buddy tell me what happened last night?” Jay shook his head violently. The police officer glared at Jay. Suddenly Jay broke down in tears.

The police walked away. After that Jay accidentally wet his pants, starting another meltdown. Jay whispered “Mamas gone”

The day before today he had seen a guy come into the house, he thought it was one of Mamas friends. Then he heard his Mama scream “GO AWAY, I HAVE NOTHING YOU WANT.” The man killed Jay’s Mama. Then the man looked at Jay and said “She’s wrong, I wanted her.”

Jay had realized that the police officer had been the man that killed his mama.
