A fly?

I woke up in the middle of the night to a buzzing sound in one ear.

Turning on the lights, I searched the room but no fly.

It was in my ear.

Turning off the lights, I put the ear that was buzzing on the pillow to dull the sound.

It was still too loud.

Sighing, I got up to syringe my compacted ear with warm water.

“Gah!”

A wriggling worm was in the sink along with a clump of earwax.

Quickly, I flushed it with tap water with my left hand since my right was holding the ear syringe.

It was gone.

“Yikes, did a fly lay its eggs in my ear when I was asleep? Gross.”

Just to be sure, I gave both ears a few more squirts.

“Good thing it’s a weekend tomorrow.”

I fell back asleep after closing my bedroom door completely in case the fly came back. With my parents on vacation, I didn’t feel the need to close it earlier.

Next morning, I woke up with a strange feeling in my left hand.

It felt fine above my Fitwatch.

Just a bit of intense tingling, I told myself.

“It’s not like I got a Migi alien for my left hand now, right? Haha…”

“Haha…” a small sound came out from my left hand.
