No Identity
_A poem based on my prompt that got third place last week (mirror mirror)β¦_
I am a mirror on a wall
trying so hard not to fall
I can be whatever
it is you want to see
a pretty face,
an ugly frown,
a bubbled tear falling down.
Myself i will never know
for itβs only you i can show.
I am a mirror on a wall
Iβve been forced to see it all.
I watch you pick
apart your body
but lucky are you
to have legs that run
and ears that hear
a face that smiles
and a heart that feels
I am a mirror on a wall
trying my hardest not to fall.
For itβs only you I ever will be
and myself I never will see.
