Mysteries Of Night
As a child we always wondered,
About the mysteries of night.
Of what our parents did with out us
And of the moons enchanting light.
And although it could be a time of fear
It was also filled with dreams
Of candy lands and magic
Happiness bursting at the seams.
But one girl was at her window
Her tears smeared the beauty of the moon
For although only a child herself
She discovered the horrors of night to soon
She learned of demons crawling
Masking themselves as young men
And who used magic potions
And words beautiful like a poets pen.
She learned to young that monsters weren’t ugly
And that even the devil could be beautiful too
That monsters didn’t grab our toes
And didn’t moan out boo.
Monsters where born from human lust
And enjoyed to watch childrens pain
To take away their innocence and hope
When they still had everything to gain.
She realised why parents protected her
From the mysteries of the night
Because the demons where as beautiful
As the moons enchanting light.
