azortulf; The Return
People always talk about the good things that come from rain. Like rainbows and plants growing. But they never talk about how it’s terrifying.
“It’s raining.” The teacher shut the blinds and ordered kids to hide in a corner.
Rain can summon azortulfs if you’re not careful enough, sometimes closing your blinds and hiding just isn’t enough.
During recess one evening it began to pour, signaling the azortulf were arriving. Poor Molly. Not quick enough. And soon the azortulf were invading school.
The year was 2099. All of the azortulf species were gone. And rain was just rain. As Josie walked down the sidewalk after school one rainy afternoon, she looked to her right. The last azortulf. The sky is green, the grass is red. Which signaled the azortulf were back. After 75 years, the world was terrorized once again.
Logical. Josie who was a fifth grader and had read about this multiple times, just ran. She didn’t think much of it. But she should’ve, as she turned around there were azortulfs everywhere.
