These shoes always hurt my feet. The seam of the sock rubs my pinky toe raw but I need these shoes to be my personality. Silver, green, pink, green again. Probably some other colors I forgot, too. I made a mixed CD of songs that remind me of you. I wrote your initials on it. You’ll never hear it, it’s just for me. I lay on my bed legs up the wall resting my aching toes. It’s not quite summer so I still see you at school every day. Every day I stare at you when you’re not looking then over analyze everything you said or did didn’t say to me. I’m upside down, listening to our song you’ve never heard, pressing my sore toes against the wall.
