Cages And Lights

Beep beep…. Alarms echo loudly through my ears as the cage flies open. Everyone bursts out of the metal bars like it’s Christmas but I have to leave immediately. White lights and silver poles crowd my view as I sprint my way through the maze of cages. When the lights go out I barely flinch. I follow the light. I slam open a door and dodge through the doctors, my eyes widening from the sound of gunshots and screams. I hope for the best as I run through the left wing hallway. I swallow as my legs burn. Screeches are heard to the left a hard bone cracking sound comes from the other. Where are they?!

I wake with a start, grasping for anything to support me. “Morning.” A guy grumbles as he watches a computer. A lady walks up to me with a strange smile, “That was just the beginning my dear. You have quite the potential.”
