Tumbling Granny
Tumbling Granny
Flipping around
Scared of nothing
Not even the ground
Feet flopping about
She did lots of flips
If she knew you were looking
She also did splits
Her hands held up high
She ran down the hill
At an olympic speed
To show us her skill
She ran too fast,
The hill to steep
Her single steps
Looked more like leaps
But tumbling granny
Never fails
She muscled up
Tough as nails
Her arms straight ahead
and a smile on her face
“Woohoo!” she said!
As she ran her own race!
I few good cartwheels
Got her going
“Look at Granny!
She’s still rolling!”
She rolled a mile
Then rolled two more
Right down the road
And past the store
We ran behind her
Keeping pace
It felt more like
A game of chase
Tumling Granny laughed
And giggled
Her old lady belly
Started to jiggle
As she rolled up a hill
She came to a stop
Just a few feet
Before reaching the top
She cheered at her venture
“What a fun way to roam!
I think I’ll do it again
All the way home!”
