Roses, oh aren’t they beautiful flowers? Well, not only are they beautiful but also magical! Do you guys know the story of princess Rapunzel? You know the princess that was stolen and locked away in a tower by a witch for 16 years? The girl who has magical hair that not only glowed, but could heal anything that was hurt?

Okay, well in case you don’t remember the story…. The queen ( Rapunzel’s mom) was very sick when she was pregnant with Rapunzel. She was not going to make it…. the guards started searching for a magical golden flower that would heal the queen. They found it and made a tea out of it for the queen to drink, since the flower was magical it not only cured the queen but it turned Rapunzel’s hair golden and gave it magical abilities.

There was a similar story behind Ariel, the little mermaid. When Ariel was a little girl, she accidentally was poisoned by a deadly fish. She was not going to make it…. her parents started looking for remedies, they went to Ursula (the witch of the sea) for help, but she wouldn’t help since they had nothing good to offer. They were about to give up, until they came across a magical red rose which was believed to be extinct. They fed it to Ariel and she was completely healed.

Remember the part of the story when Ariel makes prince Eric fall in love with her even though she could not speak? Well guess what… that rose also gave Ariel powers. Not healing powers like Rapunzel but powers to make others fall in love with her.
