POEM STARTER
The sky full of stars seemed dead and cold; a place once so magical now hurt to behold.
Write a rhyming poem that ends with this line.
I Remember What I Cannot Forget
Tears, fun, despair on repeat,
Many have come and gone akin to memories,
Vast amounts of space grew between us,
Divine timing rightfully work for us,
A heart marked by wounds that will never reopen
A mind clinging to pain, still searching for closure.
Organs remain functional though each breathe a dread
A reality of a life that no one else has read,
I create and destroy unlike my energy,
I design and build with every part of me.
No longer filled with joy with a smile from ear to ear
No more staying up til midnight to see reindeer
Not enough memories to be made to save for a rainy day
Full exposure to rejection every day.
Was the magic ever real, or was it just my belief?
If even stars can fade, what hope is left for me?
A sky full of stars seemed dead and cold; a place once so magical now hurt to behold.
