Mr. Jackson

“Are you coming to my masquerade party?” Asked Lydia. I nodded, it was really just her birthday party, it was at a hotel where we would be spending the night. We were at work on a Monday evening. I kept working then work ended so I went to get things for the party.

I looked at a black dress with lace. I smiled at it, it was a long and beautiful dress. Tight and strapless, with a bigger, fluffier bottom than top. I began to look for masks, I found a black one with lace too, but not the same pattern.

It was going to be a beautiful birthday trip. “Your inviting Mr. Jackson?” I asked Lydia the next day at work. “He’s our boss!” She looked at me confused. “Yes, but he’s nice to me!” She said “Why don’t you like him?” She asked I opened my mouth, no words came out. Mr. Jackson was never nice to me, but if she really liked him I wasn’t about to say anything. “I dunno…” I finally said.

They day before they masquerade party came, I had already been packed. “Time for bed!” I said to myself, I had to drive two hours. The next day I drove two hours to a beach town. It was misty and beautiful. Me and Lydia had lunch together that day. I drove to the hotel to get ready. Then I blushed as I saw Lydia’s cousin, fin, I don’t know why, but it’s whenever I see him. I walked up to him. “Hi” I said he turned his dreamy eyes on me, then smiled as he looked at me. “Hi!” He said. “I take it you came for Lydia’s party?” I nodded. “Well….” I started. “See you around!”

“Yeah.” I went to my hotel room. Took off my clothes and up on shorts, then my dress. I went to to the masquerade party. The dress was tight, and felt hard to walk in. I started talking with Lydia, then in a private corner with fin

“Your funny!” I laughed pulling up my dress which kept being annoying and sliding down. We kept talking, then we both stared into each others eyes. I had a crush on him. “I’m going to go get a drink.” I said, ending our daze. I walked to go get a drink, I felt sick to my stomach. I walked over to the door, I was over. I went to my hotel room and took off my dress. I put my pajamas on. I didn’t even stay for any food. I walked to the door, and looked through the peep hole. Lydia was walking back to her room with Mr. Jackson. I needed my friend to confort me. I didn’t know why. I walked into the room as soon as a gunshot happened. I stood there, jaw drooped and legs spread. Lydia had just shot Mr. Jackson. She had dropped the gun, then looked at me in disgust. “BRAT!” She yelled,”NO ONE WAS GOING TO KNOW.” I had just realized the door had closed behind me. I took a step as Lydia was grabbing the gun. She stood and began to point it at me.

“No evidence can be left.” She said, I summersaulted towards her. This may have not been her first kill, this may not be her last, but she had not seen this coming. I grabbed her gun and threw it to a far corner. I tripped her to the ground she lay flat on her back. I was throwing her on her side, when she was no longer in shock. She bit my arm, blood trickled down my fore arm. “PSYCHOPATH!”I Yelled.

I saw blood on her teeth as I finished pulling her, face down to the ground. I saw even more as she hit it harder than I had thought. I hurt one of her teeth. I threw her arm behind her back to have full control over her. I saw duck tape which she had used to keep Mr. Jackson from screaming. This might have been her first time using a gun for a murder, or her first murder in general because gunshots are very loud when you don’t use a silencer. But I grabbed it and threw it around her forearms so she couldn’t move. She began to cry as I called the police. No one had ever fought back to her.

TWO WEEKS LATER

I walked into work for the first time in a while. “I need to tell tell everyone something urgent, it’s about our boss.”
