You might think poems are just songs

But it’s loads more than that

You might think sonnets are just Shakespearean

But it’s written by writers of today too

You might think ballads are filled with sadness

But they have happy endings too

And until you hold that pen

Or put your finger on that phone screen

You will see you were wrong

Because in the wotkd of poetry

There’s more than you can imagine

You’re just believing what you don’t see
