Write a poem about contentedness that makes use of anaphora between the end of one line and start of the next.
Anaphora is the repeating of a word or phrase for a specific impact. It can be used at the beginning of all lines, or at the end of one and beginning of the next.
Cruel Enough
You are cruel.
Cruel enough to call me by that name,
That name I spent so much time hiding away.
You are cruel.
Cruel enough to ignore my feelings,
My feelings which you know won’t go astray.
You are cruel.
Cruel enough to talk, to share, to act
To act like everything is okay.
You are cruel.
Cruel enough to reside in my mind,
My mind which you built a home, a cold home.
A cold home built for you to stay.
