I’m Not Crazy

Beth looked down at the water while she kicked her feet in the water.

“So…what did you wanna tell me?” Beth asked breaking the silence.

“You promise you won’t think crazy of me?” He bit his lip.

“Come onnnnn,” Beth dragged out the n.

“Beth, I’m being serious,” He sniffed.

“Ok, I promise,” Beth explained.

Kevin looked off in the distance as he recollected his memories.

“Oh gosh. That’s terrible. But you do know that it wasn’t your fault right?”Beth hugged him.

“But you don’t understand, it was my fault.” He cried.

“But you weren’t there so how could of you fixed it?” Beth frowned.

“Cause..I…” Kevin paused.

“Y..you what?” Beth broke from the hug.

“Cause I’m the one who killed him Beth!” He blurted.

“What the hell, that’s not funny to joke about Kevin!!” Beth exclaimed.

Kevin just sat there staring at her.

“Holy shit…” Beth paused. “You aren’t joking,”

“I’m really sorry Beth, I just had to get that off my chest,” Kevin paused. “But, I can’t let you go, considering you know this,”

“I promise, you can trust me!” Beth shivered.

“I don’t think so,” He clicked his tongue.

Beth quickly turned and tried to run away but soon a hand grabbed her hoodie and pulled her to the ground. He grabbed her hands and pushed them against the wood as his legs were on top of hers.

“Kevin..please,” She cried.

“I’m sorry, this is gonna hurt you as much it will hurt me, sweetheart,” He stated.

He grabbed a knife from his back pocket with his free hand.

“I’ll scream..” She quickly explained.

“Nobody will hear, so scream if you want,” He snapped.

He raised his knife and stopped right at her face.

“I’m sorry,” He sniffed.

He then quickly slide the knife against her neck allowing blood to flow out of her body. He stood up and put the knife back in his pocket. He then proceeded to push her lifeless body in the water.

“You promised not to think crazy of me and you lied…such a shame,” He grinned.
