Where Are The Trees?

Mother nature died long ago and how she didnt take us with her i’ll never know. Humans are a resourceful bunch, making the earth work for us when all along we have been her servants. Not very obediant servants mind you, we killed our master, tortured her until she couldnt breathe.

Plunged our hands into her very heart and squeezed and squeezed until she could not give anymore, until there was nothing left to crush, only dust.

If only death had come to reap us all, it was what we deserved after all.

Green was a foreign colour, suddenly more valuable than gold and we sought after it, always seeking and yearning for what we once had. But never learning our lesson for what we had murdered.

Our children never seeing trees in the breeze or feeling grass between their toes. An occurance that could have been avoided, but the urge for greed was more powerful than the human will to live, to survive.

We are stupid fickle creatures who are never satisfied, never complete and now we never will get the chance to make it better.
