Hex
“All right, who is going next?” ,Asks Deven. This game sucks, hissed Sara. Why don’t we play that one? Says Ashley as she points at a box labeled “Hex, overcome your fears with friends!” Oh no I think I will pass, says Deven shaking at the thought of what horrors lie beneath the carboard box. Was that there before? , Asks Ashley. No, I found it behind the library dumpster, declared Deven.
Before anyone says anything further, Sara opens the box with a twisted smile, “this will be fun!” she howls. as the room slowly disappears leaving behind any traces of light. The only thing that can be heard is devens loud screams. Then even that, fades away.
…. “Is anyone there?”, Yells Ashley into the void. “Whoosh! clank! whoosh! clank!” rounding the corner she can make out the shape of large mechanisms. Huge cogs turning, and steam bellowing out from the depths. Light was scarce except an Erie glow from the void. “Where, where am I?” She asks as if someone would answer her question.
She searched the area, wandering the catwalks for what felt like hours. Finally she found something new. It appeared to be a collum of some sorts with a strange hole in the center, erected from a area covered in tubes. As soon as Ashley aproached, she felt a strange calling, as if this, this thing was of some importance? It had to be.
As the distance closed. She put her arm up, and jumped. There were some sort of holes, ports even around her arm, an inch before the elbow. What the fuck! How had she not noticed earlier? Was this her fear? Large machines and implanted arm holes?
As she pondered this she noticed the spot where the hole is was moving, slowly rising out was a circle of 10 large needles. Shivering with anticipation and fear, she put her arm near the needles and the automaticity sunk into the ports around her arm. “Ah! fuck! Ah! Ah! Ow!”, She screechedas glowing fluid came up from the tubes on the floor, the beginnings of a burning sensation draining the color from Ashley’s face.
She was going to kill Sara, she thought. Literally.
