Beasts Within Water
Lilian stood atop her fathers light house. It was no red and white spiral covered creation one finds at a fair it was a dark and damp stone tower with a spinning yellow lamp on top. Lilian brushed her jet black hair as she pondered over the increase in the disappearance of ships. She watched the waters surface for any sign of life. “Lilian get in here and mop the floors!” Her fathers annoying and booming voice yelled.
Days passed and this happened again and again day after day. Until eventually something surfaced. Lilian sprinted down the spiral staircase of the lighthouse. Within moments she appeared at the rocky beach. She looked out at the greenish blue, scaly creature snaked it’s way across the surface. The serpentine revered back its f aged head. It’s red eyes met with Lilian’s blue pair. It let out a long and violent feline hiss. Swiftly it’s large massive wings flared out as it lifted into the air it’s long tale hovered over the water. It was covered in thick black spins that punctured the skin. Swiftly it’s muscled toned wrapped around her body. Slowly it lifted her to meet its gaze.
Located on its neck, Lilian spotted, a collection of long scratches. Lilian had studied most living animals and not one could have made this mark. Lilian extended her arm and pant. Either this was going to go very well or she was gonna be a very realistic Captain Hook for Halloween. Her soft skin met the snakes rough armoured scales. The serpentine closed it’s eyes and lowered her onto its back. Suddenly the serpent turned and shot of down the water. It swiftly naked its serpentine body around the sharp rocks before diving deep into the water. Lilian thought the beast was taking her to its best. She was shore she was about to become lunch. The animal turned upward suddenly and shot into the air. It’s wings flapped violently as it lifted higher and higher. Lilian calmed as they soured through the air.
Soon they arrived at a tall pointed mountain with a large dragon head carved, open mouthed into the cliffside. The serpentine dragon shot down the statues throat. For hours they flew down the cave until he came into an opening. A vast cave with colourful trees and vibrant grass. Winged beings of all sorts called this place home. The home of the dragons.
