Had another dream

Sprinting jumping bounding dream

Lapped up the water in my dish

Pushed my way through the legs of people

Bounded for the open gate

Made it all the way to the shore

Jumped in and caught a fish

Brought it to Maggie who smiled

My mom was happy too

My litter was waiting for me

So small and yelping for me to play

I teach them how to chase

The sun is heavy up above

I spot a woodland creature who smells tiny

The chase is on

I awake suddenly noticing my gray paws

In a pool of urine in the back of the car

It’s happened again

My bones ache and chest feels tight

She picks me up tenderly

Her voice makes me edgy

Holds me too tight while I’m mounted

The cold metal slab

I don’t feel the needle but I saw it

In the reflection on the wall

She makes my fur wet holding me too tight

This time I will wake up on that porch again

The sun hanging high, tiny faint yelps
