The Price Of Magic
They stood upon the edge of the cliff, holding the witch and his beast with their Iron Hands. The clan’s magic, together, was something even he couldn’t resist against.
“Sun Koon!” Shouted Solt Han, the clan leader of the Solts. “You have been charged with the crime of capturing evil spirits and murdering innocents with them! Do you deny?”
Koon, chained with the Iron Hands, could do nothing but sigh. He glanced over at his wooden creature, the large, human shaped puppet was trying to break its prison. But Koon knew it would be impossible, the Sun Clan’s magic could not be broken with mere strength.
“No,” Koon said, defeated, “I uphold to those crimes.”
Koon could feel Moon Ran’s eyes searching him, searching to see if he was telling the truth. When Koon turned to him, Koon was surprised to see tears in the Moon Leader’s son.
“Then it has been decided! Sun Koon shall be thrown into the Cold Void!” Solt Han turned to the Clan Leaders and the crowd of their citizens. “_Mark this day as the day Sun Koon was finally punished for his crimes_!”
Koon closed his eyes, but that couldn’t stop him from hearing the great cries of the men and women who had come to see him die. He heard a whimper from Moon Ran, but it was quickly stifled as footsteps came closer. One foot seemed slower than the other.
Koon opened his eyes and looked up to see who would throw him below.
Moon Bey, Moon Ran’s father and the leader of the Moon Clan.
Koon sighed. The puppet roared, trying, trying to find a way to save Koon. To save his master.
“It only makes sense for you to bring me to my demise,” Koon stared into the dark, emotionless eyes of his creator, “You were the one who brought me into this world…Master.”
Moon Bey gritted his teeth. “Shut up, you pathetic leech.”
Then Koon felt a sharp kick in his back.
Everything seemed to go slow.
Moon Bey moved out of the way, and Koon was falling down the cliff.
Moon Ran cried out.
The puppet screeched.
But Koon, Koon only cried as the world flew by him in a quick blur. Tears clouded his eyes.
The sun rose above him, its light warm. Its light inviting.
His last sunrise. His last breath.

(So this was inspired by MDZS, I’m watching the anime rn. I really like it but I can’t find season 3 episode 2 with English subtitles, so I wrote this in anger. Anyways, thanks for reading! Have a great day!)
