POEM STARTER
Write a romance poem that is really very unromantic.
Try to think of the normal elements of romantic poems and reverse them!
Ode To My Lover (I’m Chronically Single)
Your eyes are like orbs with the power of sight.
And second, your smile is just about as bright
As that lamp from Pixar, stomping on the “i,”
Like you stomp on my heart, when you say goodbye.
When I am with you, I can’t help but feel sad.
Cuz your beauty is heartrending, like that of your dad.
I yearn for you, everytime I see cheez-its.
You’re a bright, crispy cracker and, baby, I need it.
My ode is short, but, then again, so are you.
I am running out of words that rhyme with you.
So to end: you are like a star, a gasseous mass.
I love you so much, but I mostly love dat
wonderful personality you got there.
