Dark Moon: Ode To An Old Friend

Finally.

The remnants of your consumption

smolder like

raked embers,

       Mere fragments of your 

       Unforgivable.





      Yes you, 

      the lasts of the tsunami

      that drains from the shores. 

      Your misery seeps,

      an aching pestilence.  



      You won’t be missed.  

       I hope to see you never more.

      And pray , 

     That like the moon, 

   Your front remains

 faithfully unglimpsed
