You Reap What You Sow

The sight of you walking away with your back turned was unbearable,

Like everything I knew about you,

Turned to dust before me,

And was swept away by the wind.

It’s been three years since then,

So why,

Why are you here now,

Now that it’s too late?

I still don’t understand,

What even made you decide to end us?

You just, left,

Without a warning,

Leaving me with your mirage in my embrace.

I do still wonder what my answer would be,

If you had come back that day,

But it took too much time,

For you to change your mind.

And now I’ve moved on,

I’m sorry, but,

You were too late,

You reap what you sow.
