Self Discovery
When I found you, I found life.
You, were my breath of fresh air.
You, were my ray of sunshine.
You, were all I imagined and more.
You, were mine.
When I found you, I found light.
The search ended. I needed no other, for I had found my forever.
Like peas in a pod, our lives were intertwined, we were meant to be together.
With you, nothing else mattered. You made me happy, no matter the weather.
I had you, and you were mine.
When I found you, I found love.
In you, I found my better half.
I was at my happiest with you, never to be seen without a smile or my signature laugh.
You, were my soulmate, an angel sent from above.
You, were mine…until you weren’t.
You left!
And with you, you took it all.
I no longer sensed the bright ray of sunshine, life was gloomy and dark.
My heart was broken, I was wounded. You left, but not without leaving a mark.
You left!
And with you, you took it all.
I had to learn to live all over again.
I had to learn to get over the pain.
I had to, cause I had everything to gain.
This time round, I found me. I found me, and I knew the journey, though hard was not in vain.
Now, I’ve grown beyond the pain you caused me.
Now, I’ve been able to fill the gaping hole you left in me.
Now, that I’ve found me, you’ve come back.
You’ve come back, but I no longer need you.
I no longer need you because I AM ENOUGH!
