WRITING OBSTACLE

Demonstrate. Incapacitate. Solidify.

In a story of no more than 10 sentences, use these three words in any order. The point is to create a story line that allows you to link them all naturally, without forcing them into random places.

A Stranger at the Table

I always looked up to my father. Although he wasn’t around much, I always wished to be as fearless and cunning as him. He would demonstrate time and time again how determined he was through his hard work. I thought I knew the man that was my father, but what I learned tonight at dinner would solidify my worst fear. I have no idea who my father is. One second we were eating dinner, the next my father threatened to incapacitate me. I didn’t think what I did demanded such a violent response, it was an accident - really. I only scratched his Ferrari 250 GTO. I know he loved that car but I thought he loved me more; I was wrong.
