WRITING OBSTACLE

Write a letter to a friend, from the perspective of someone living 100 years in the future.

What commonplace things might they mention that would surprise a reader now, and how can you use these to drive an interesting narrative?

From Me, 100 Years In The Future

To my most dear and long lost friend.

Time has passed in the blink of an eye, yet past remains as tranquil and static as what past means.

Hopefully, you have not heard of me nor know anything about me. That would keep things easier for the both of us.

Every single thing we knew is far lost between the mystery of time and the illusion of permanence in which we are enthralled into . Those unchangeable streets, those shops we would always stop at. Gone, gone and they will never come back at us.

Funny is it not? Never did we realize that we did not grew up in there, they grew up with us. Perhaps we were too focused on our things and we would never realize those little silly changes the shops had.

Anyways, I hope that this ramblings did not confound you. They are just boring thoughts of mine.

I do not know how am i still alive or how will this message will arrive. I hope that this miracle, will not become a mirage, for I despise those fearmongers. I hope that this will help us in succeed in what we are trying to do, that our endeavours wont become a failure, as they did for me.

There is a traitor in your group, however the issue is that they do not know they are a traitor. But they will realize, later or sooner. Hopefully, we still have time, if you do not read this letter, that unknown traitor will not get killed by you. Once you discover this, it will completely break your group, for they wont know who the traitor is ,so they will try to guess who is it, by the pragmatic method of the assasination. The weight of stealing someones future and life is not light, it will completely shatter mentally you, and this killing harmony will continue until a few of you are still alive.

I hope you finally know what of a problem you are in right now. And i also want to tell you that you are the traitor. And if things go like this, you will survive, yet if you do, all the aforementioned things you knew, they will all be shattered and reborn into an utter, ominous and unrecognizable mess. With this letter, i ask you to stop the cities and you from this constant state of change of change. Im asking you to close the curtain of your life. Im asking you to end this for the both of us. Since your death would signify mine as well. That single thing is one of my biggest longings, just after my hopes for this to be succesful, to not ensnare us in a cycle.

Im asking this, not as a comrade, neither as friend. Im asking this to me, 100 years in the past.
