The Shadowed Room

The room,

It was colorful

Not bright

Yet colorful

It had grey walls

A black roof

Yet the chairs were pink,

Tables red

The floor was a deep burgundy

like fresh spilled blood

Still though the couches were yellow

And the cushions were blue

Purple flowers were in a green vase

And yet,

Life was absent,

No one was in there,

Except a dog or two

But no people,

Even with a long line outside

Wanting to get in

The door won’t let them

No mater how much they push,

Or pull

The people who have

once walked in there,

They stayed but only for a little

Because then they left

Or they were forced out

Sometimes I wish

That more people could see this place

And it’s orange colored drawers

But I don’t think they will

But who knows

Maybe they’ll get a glimpse

Of the shadowed room
