„I think I just met the happiest person in the world!“ was the first thought in my head as I watched the guy in front of me. Sitting on the bench with the blissful smile never leaving his face, his eyes rolled up to the sky, his legs covered with a light woolen blanket, he seemed to know something special about this life, something I was only about to learn. He knew how to live here and now, how to soak the moment, notice details, smell, hear, see… An elderly woman with tired and wrinkled face came closer to him. Behind her wrinkles I could recognize his chin, his eyes, his cheekbones: “His mum”, I thought. She pooled the wheelchair closer to him: “Time to go home, honey. Have you enjoyed the sun enough today?” She tried to lift him up from the bench and place him back into the wheelchair. His eyes would never lose the happy expression and the smile would always stay on his face, he made a loud sound, most likely the only one he could make instead of talking. “Well, well, honey. It’s alright. It’s all good”, she said as she was pooling the wheelchair along the path towards the sun.
