Dara hugged Allie close to her. Kids ran outside as the bone chilling air swirled around them. The hug was broken in silence.

“Just tell me!” Allie scoffed.

“No.” Dara replied.

“Please! You know there’s something wrong with her! I know it.” Allie pleaded.

Dara shook her head, “Fine,”She continued, “She isn’t who she says she is.” Dara looked around.

“What? What do you mean?” Allie stared around, following Dara’s gaze.

“That’s all I can tell you. But now you know to much,” Dara sighed, “You almost made it.”

“Wha-?” Allie felt a slow pain in her chest as she looked up.

“You weren’t supposed to know.”

Allie collapsed on the ground, and Dara happily went to find her new best friend.
