A World’s Demise
I come home for the first time in a year, and what do I get? A house full of sand. A world that is all sand. I can’t find any survivors. I’m all alone. So, this is the end of the world? Disappointing. No robots, no zombies, not even a plague, as far as I know. But what caused this? Extremely high tide? I think not. Maybe some kind of incantation? Perhaps that could be true. But what of my beautiful wife and darling child? They must have drowned in the sand. They all must have. Okay I just need to take a breath. Breath? There’s barely any oxogen! The thought of my wife and daughter consumes me, and I do what any mother would do. I dig through that sand, as far and as fast as possible. I would dig until I found the, and if not, I would parish along with the world. Why couldn’t we both share a demise? The worlds demise is my demise. Goodbye cruel world, I am dyeing because of your cruelty. RIP.
