POEM STARTER
Write a poem reflecting the themes of a famous book.
Your poem can be about anything in the book - try not to mention the title and see if your readers can guess which book you've chosen.
Folly Swiftly Follows.
The folly
Of theory
Without mind,
To reason.
From the small
To the tall
Sailed. Assigned.
All seas, on
Absurd lands.
Outlandish
Full of pride
Puny one
Once was friend
Now is foe
Can confide
But does shun
Once an idol,
Now a doll.
Highlights sin
A short fix.
Excrement
head to foot.
Showered in
Politics
Pores laid bare.
A mole here,
A mole there.
Transgression.
To bear sin,
Progression.
And changes
Reflection,
Of times gone.
Carry on -
Gallop free
Stallion
The folly
Of theory
Without mind,
A treason.
