Verbal irony is when someone says the opposite of what they mean, often with the intention of being humorous or sarcastic. For example, "Great, just what I needed, another headache."
The Candle Queen
Becky realized that Fall was coming. She felt the familiar sensation lurching up her spine. Target was calling.
I need another candle like I need a swift kick in the pants she thought.
But it was too late..she slipped on her UGG chuckas, grabbed her pom pom fuzzy keychain and headed out her front door into the brisk October air.
Pumpkin Spice season was upon her and the annual home décor refresh was happening.
