Identify me, please.

I want to know who I am.

I’ve thought I’ve known a thousand times;

Every face I’ve shown a sham.

16 years and full of life, yet I felt half empty.

Moving on to 21; those i once knew now resent me.

Three years later 24, space in my heart is small.

I thought I saw my reflection, but it wasn’t me at all.

I hear myself in music, read myself in books

I see myself in characters beyond just their looks

All of the pieces should give me an answer,

But I still don’t have a clue.

I’m due for an awakening.

Oh, I need it soon.
