POEM STARTER
“No stone left unturned, no promise left intact.”
Write a poem that concludes with this line.
Starved
What’s an edge without a point
Brandished blunty
To break bones?
Swords dont need shine
To be noticed
But they need reason
To exist
Poison seeks venom
I seek reason too
Tell me why my bones are broken
Tell me why I crawl
Tell me if the sword cares how blunt it is
Tell me if we are the same
I am sitting here eating sand
Trying to taste an answer
The stone is unturned because it has already
Made fiber
The promise is intact
Because I am still hungry
